ICC Science & MathS camps

JUNE 7 – AUGUST 20, 2021

Camp Brochure:

Wonders of Life – Bio Camp:

This Biology Camp will introduce fundamentals of biology science through inquiry activities that will help kids to develop science skills: observations, designing the experiments, critical thinking, and analyzing the data. Students will have opportunities to build their own investigations and make discoveries following the Scientific Method. Learning outcomes including helping students discover the fun in science, help them understand science as a process, and build a solid foundation in STEM.

The Name is Bond – Chemistry Camp:

Looking your best may be as much a science as it is an art! Learn the chemistry behind your favorite spa and hair products. Follow your nose on a fragrant journey through the science, history and art behind creating your own aromatic bath goodies, shimmering lip glosses and sweet-smelling sachets with your new scientific knowledge. Experience the beautiful side of biology and chemistry with this unique collection of experiments! Learn to create chemical concoctions and how to utilize oils, gels and lotions to make scents you wear. Discover women in science, who are they– Rosalind Franklin, Diane Fosset & Barbara McClintock? Each participant will make and take home a chemistry collection of perfumes, bath fizzes, sachets, recipes and more!

Fizzyics – Physics Camp:

Bend the rules and create with curves! Join in this mish mash of destruct and reconstruct! Your imagination, your design, your project! Will it become a robot or space explorer? Make it move or light it up! This is physics in action! Find a different way of looking at “things”! Study sameness of scale from hills to mountains! Know about fractals? Find order in chaos! Launch it, fling it, chuck it – history in action!

Mathematics Camp:

Math’s camp aims to provide students about how to think and visualize Mathematical Problems in understandable ways and how to see mathematics in a day-to-day life. Some aspects of Mathematics such as Arithmetic, Pre-Calculus, Geometry and Trigonometry will be covered during the camp for school going students.
