Due to the current COVID-19 situation we will confirm the onsite or virtual interview dates by end of march for the ICC Summer Camps 2021.
We will be conducting a zoom call on Saturday may 16th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and will go through training , prior to the training we will send you redcross material for basic info to review, code of conduct to be read and signed and sent back to us before the training day and some other information pertaining to the camps. Please make sure you read it.
Junior Counselors are required to attend the training. senior returning counselors are exempt from the training but can join if they wish to refresh the material. We will have a 15 min question and answer session for parents and counselors.
We look forward to meeting you in person or virtually on saturday for the interview april 17th 2021 if there are changes to the interview date we will send an email in advance to notify the changes.
Youth Program Teams:
ICC’s Summer camp counselor programs have a strong emphasis on leadership, exploration, and adventure. Camp counselors are led by a team of experienced professionals. Our counselors are carefully screened and trained to provide an enriching experience for each camper. All of our staff and counselors participate in intensive First Aid CPR training prior to the camp season.
All counselors have to apply to be chosen for the role. Last date to apply is Friday April 16th 2021.
A non-refundable fee of $25 will be charged at the time of registration.*
There will be 2 interview dates which you can choose during registration.
Interview Dates: Saturday, April 24th (10:00 am – 1:00 pm) or Monday, April 26th (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm)
Mandatory Counselor training: Saturday, May 16th, 2019 (10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.) ONSITE or VIRTUAL.
Counselor Roles
Counselors will assist the ICC staff in planning and implementing exciting and innovative and fun summer camp programs for school-aged children.
They will plan activities and help with events. They will also supervise daily activities, games, crafts and be actively involved with the safety of campers.
Working hours: Choose from 2 shifts (8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 10:00 am – 6:00 pm)
All counselors will be provided with Red Cross Training, 2 T-shirts, Friday lunch (please bring packed lunch Mon-Thu), End of the week party and Presidential Award Certificates.
Counselor Requirements
1. Must be in high school or entering 9th grade in fall of 2020
2. Responsible, energetic & creative 3. Enjoy working with kids 4. Team player
Able to commit to volunteering for minimum of 3 weeks
Enthusiastic about coordinating and leading activities.$25 Non-refundable fee will be charged at registration *

Junior Camp Counselors
(Grades 9th – 12th)
Junior counselors get hands-on experience in group leadership, child development and conflict resolution while earning 120 hours of community service. This program includes mandatory first aid training.
Senior Counselors must have a minimum of one summer as a Junior Counselor, at ICC summer camps. Senior Counselors work with young campers, receives leadership training and help develop programming while earning volunteer hours of community service. Senior Counselors are exempt from the interview and training, but they still need to apply for the position.
